This map can be uploaded to a
Garmin GPS receiver using two different
methods (described below). This map includes roads, shoreline,
depth contours and dive locations. It has been tested with both a
Legend and GPSmap 60C with good results but your results may
vary. If you find an error with it, please notify me. I have tried
to make it as accurate as I can but there may be errors. Use this map
at you own risk.Known problems with this map:-I have only corrected the roads around the shoreline in Monterey and south. Santa Cruz roads may be fairly inaccurate.Changes -Depth intervals are now 20'-140 in 20' increments (no longer in meters) -Dive sites are searchable in "Attractions". A list is displayed of all the sites with a description. -Added detail to Elkhorn Slough -Modified the install for both with and without Garmin's Mapsource. - Contours extend to Garrapata SP |

Download using Garmin's Mapsource"Mapsource" is Garmin's official way of downloading maps to its GPS receivers. Mapsource is included with some Garmin GPS receivers and comes with all of its mapping products. Mapsource can also be used to download the Monterey Bay map after this map has been installed properly. To get the required files and instructions to install this map, use this link. Instruction are included in this download. |
Download using without MapSource
To upload the map to your Garmin GPS only requires that you
double-click on the executable. I have instructions on how to use
it. As a side, some GPSr have
serial and some have USB interfaces. If you have an USB
interface, you must first install the Garmin
USB divers
before using this procedure. |
